Yes, I really have been asked this and I'm pleased to say yes there is an old photo of the Sydney peering point available. Thanks to Andrew Foster.
...and why do I care about peering points? First I should say I don't work for any ISP and have never worked for any ISP on the Gold Coast although I worked for an ISP a long time ago in a place far away... I'm a student (doing IT) at Griffith Uni on the Gold Coast.
The ISP I dial up through buys transit from Telstra and one day my telnet session to uni was just too lagged (and it was 3 a.m. and I had an assignment due). A peering point seemed the best way to fix my lag problem (as neither the uni nor my ISP were short of bandwidth). Besides...don't you think peering points are just cool?
My web page is available but it won't tell you much.
